Born in New Zealand and arriving in Gladstone by yacht in 1996, I’ve been a self-taught, full-time artist and tutor since 2013. Easily bored with using the same mediums and techniques, I’m multi-disciplinary, obsessing over a new idea and then later circling back to an old favourite. Currently I enjoy assembling 3- dimensional sculptures, life drawing, painting, cartooning and sun-printing. I try to upcycle and repurpose as many of the components of my artworks as possible and endeavour to make connections between the natural and man-made worlds.

While experimenting with stencil spray-painting, mixed media, digital works plus stop-motion videos, I’ve been a regular contributor to the GRAGM’s public art projects. I have facilitated many art workshops and activities at major council events such as Luminous, Seniors’ Week, the Harbour Festival and PopCon as well as creating public art installations, including an interactive sculpture in the Wrapt in Mugul highway art project in 2021.

In 2017, after setting up my own art studio, I’ve tried to share the joy of art by tutoring children’s art classes; facilitating the Tuesday ArtPlay program at GRAGM for pre-schoolers; running regular Life Drawing sessions in my studio and tutoring NDIS participants.
